     He was born circa 1630 at Emden (probably), Holland.1 He married Sarah Hall, daughter of John Hall and Jane Woolen, on 11 December 1664 at New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.2 He died in 1716 at New Haven, Connecticut.
     William Johnson was also known as Windle or Wingle.3 He immigrated circa 1644 to Manhattan, New York; then moved to Wallingford or Branford, Connecticut, then settled in New Haven, CT, in 1645.3
