p. 73- On 2 Oct 1831, the Culpeper Court officially sanctioned its first fifteen school commissioners, one for each district. As usual, they were men of distinction. The group included Zephaniah Turner.

p. 82- John Turner was appointed the first postmaster of Woodville on 1 Jan 1803, holding office until Zephaniah Turner's tenure began in 1815.
